SALVATION: THE FOUNDATION OF IT ALL
What did Jesus Christ die for?
This page is an in-depth look at salvation, what really came with it, and what salvation means. You may be very suprised to discover something you do not know, or do not have even though Jesus already paid the price for you. You might be getting ripped off by Satan...
SOZO is the original Greek word in the New Testamanet for salvation. There is a lot of important research to this word. Just FYI, Soteria & Sozo are the same word-one is the verb & the other is the noun form (in case you decide to research for yourself).
Definitions of SOZO:

SOZO - the Greek word which means to heal, cure, to make well; to rescue from danger, to save; to cause something to change to an earlier, correct or appropriate state; to renew.
The Greek word SOZO was translated in the New Testament as the English word Saved. Salvation, known as the Greek word "Soteria", is merely the noun form. SOZO simply defined is the verb which means rescued, pulled from danger, or lifted above trouble. Among a few hundred uses in the NT, it was used in Ephesians 2:8 in the phrase, "By Grace are you saved". It was also used in James 1:21 in reference to the Engrafted Word being able to save our souls. One can see the connection between the word SOZO and the Process of the saving of our souls through Grace.
A good study of the word SOZO will show you that there are actually 3 different, yet inter-twined parts of the new covenant for which Jesus Christ died. Unfortuantely this isn't being taught as much today. The reason that the English language has the word sozo seperated, is in English we don't have the word sozo-the scholars had to seperate it into different words for our understanding. This is why it is often very interesting to go back into the Greek and study Bible verses. You learn all kinds of things by doing this!
Below is a picture of SOZO/Salvation:
Take a close look at this picture above. This is the SOZO or salvation chart. SOZO is the Greek work for salvation, and what is talked about in the Bible. This is what Jesus died for on the cross. Notice that for every part of man that exists, Jesus died for our healing on the cross. It is included in salvation. Jesus died for every part of you. GOD ALREADY PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR HEALING THROUGH THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST! Isn't this great news? Healing is the exact same as forgiveness, only a different item you are receiving. It's like shopping on Isle 2 of the supermarket instead of Isle 1!
The word Sozo (salvation) actually has 3 parts to its meaning. It means: Saved, Healed, and Delivered. Saved is referring to your spirit, where Jesus died so that your spirit may be renewed and filled with the Holy Spirit, that you may enter into a relationship with Father and press into eternal life and not perish. Healed is referring to your physical body where Jesus died so that your physical body may be healed. And deliverance is referring to your Soul. Now your Soul, being made up of your mind, will, and emotions is where addictions can occur. It is also where many traumas are stored in you. Deliverance is about freeing you from hurts and addictions, so that you don't have to live with the pain anymore.
You do not have to be a Christian to receive healing. God figures it like this-He gives out mercy and grace FREELY, then after you experience His incredible healing power you say 'Wow, that was real'. And you will become curious. Then you just may find God and dedicate your life. For the goodness of God leads us to repetance. But being a Christian is definitely something you want to do. Being a Good Person won't get you into eternal life.
Man was created in the Image of God-we were made to be healthy, not sick.
Beware of false teachings, for some teach that healing no longer occurs, but forgiveness does. They have never studied into what Jesus accomplished at the cross. More than likely they simply can't get healing to work because they haven't been taught properly, and for this reason they teach that it no longer exists. Then they get trapped into a 'cycle' where they teach it doesn't exist because they can't get it working, and they can't get it working because they doubt. It is an ongoing cycle which needs to be broken if they are to see Jesus as a healer. I have personally been healed of multiple things, as well as witnessed it, and yes, healing does exist.
