A few minutes ago my dad phoned and said he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He said it hasn't spread and that the doctor thinks he can remove the cancer, so my dad is intending to get the surgery next week.
Please pray for my dad's healing and his salvation, for a full recovery and no bad side effects.
I'm concerned about the surgery, but it seems to be the best option now to prevent it from spreading.
[Edit, a few hours later: He's also open to his family's suggestions about treatments. I've talked to a Christian natural health practitioner I know who says there's natural methods which could help post-surgery to prevent any recurrence. Please pray for wisdom for us in deciding for post-surgery options and in the right doctors and practitioners. In my own research on this, I've found a few natural approaches that have some scientific evidence backing them up, perhaps those will be helpful as well. Of course I'll keep praying for him.]
Thank you God that you love my dad and my family, please heal my dad and save him and the rest of my family, in Jesus' name, and give my dad wisdom about the right treatments and methods to go through. Please remove the veil that blinds my dad and family (brother, sister, their spouses, children) to the Gospel, and open the eyes of their heart that they may know the depths of your love for them and the inheritance that's found in you, through Jesus, thank you.
