Hi,
I know this may sound trivial but I have gained 5 stone in 3 years due to various factors. I start a new diet every day with obvious no success. Please can you pray for my relationship with food to sort out and for me to trust God and not food for comfort. I would love to feel healthier again.

Thank you that You provide grace for this issue with food for her also. Thank you for healing her heart and providing Your abiding love and comfort with such abundance that it overflows. Thank you for your prayers. I just checked for you USA fold who talk in pounds and I am 98 pounds overweight - As i said largley to do with medication and comfort eating. Well I just can't believe this - my miracle doctor I saw last week said that she felt my weight was a a way of protecting myself from the trauma I had been througth (making myself bigger to keep myself from being harmed) and as i felt better - knowing that I am safe and secure - her words ( i believe as God heals my heart and mind etc.) that the weight would just start to come off as I would no longer need it. My sister asked if she could see this doctor

Last night we were very privilaged to go to another healing seminar with teaching like Dr Rodger S@pp - thats the 3rd in 4 weeks where the person has taught that healing is for every believer to walk in through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Anyway - Steve Long - Toronto Airport - Catch the Fire person - , without a mention of anything about my weight from me said - "This might sound strange but I just felt God say in my Spirit that your weight is just going to start falling off - Amazing - Thank You Jesus. And thank you for praying as this is an answer to prayer -and helps take away the stress of trying - I do try everyday .

I feel for you. I am 90 lb. heavier than I was in college, and mostly due to 2 pregnancies, where I gained 60 lb. each. I have found that eliminating sugar isn't really helpful in regards to losing weight. I eliminated foods with table sugar about 2 years ago, and although I lost weight in the first 2 months, I didn't lose any after that. I don't know if you have the same experience, but I find that the people I know who are skinny eat a lot more food than I do. It makes me angry sometimes, because there is some conception that people who are overweight are sitting around eating junk food all day. I'm sure that is true in some cases, but it certainly isn't true for me. Fortunately, I have a husband who finds me attractive anyway (he says, "if you've got it, you've got it"). I think a lot of the weight issue has to do with stress and the cortisol in the body. I have noticed that reducing my daily stress has been a big help.

I hope this breakthrough is exactly what you need. You really don't need your body to protect you, because now you have the Lord as your strong tower. He doesn't promise that we will not have bad things happen to us, but He does promise to deliver us when we cry out to him.

I recently moved and started a much better exercise routine, so I will pray for you when I am exercising. I wish you all the best with this.

1 stone off so just another 6 1/2 to go . (what i put on was not from my medical ideal weight) I thank the Lord for helping me to focus on Him and not so much on food. When i lost weight before and this time it is almost as if i am on a constant fast (not all food - just not many treats and a lot less than i would normaly want to eat- if you have never struggled with weight you won't understand - but if you have you will. The more I tried to diet the more i put on and the worse it got and the more frustrating. It has been hard but not too hard. Thanks for prayer and will keep praying for you too Valerie - my husband always encourages me and says - but you don't eat that much - which i don't. Please keep praying for us. Andrea
